Leisure Services

The aim is to provide a range of activities for disabled young people and to support families both in and out of their home. For more details on our leisure services please contact Tracey Riley on leisureadmin@parentsconsortium.co.uk

Kidscamp

Kidscamp is our well established holiday activity scheme providing activities for children & young people with severe or/and profound impairments aged between 5 and 17 years inclusive, living in the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley area. Specifically Kidscamp provides activities for a maximum of 22 children & young people a day, throughout the main school holidays.  Young people can be referred direct or via the Disabled Children’s Team to Leisure Services.

3 permanent staff members co-ordinate and ensure the smooth running of the Kidscamp Service throughout the year. This entails the challenge of employing a large group of sessional staff to work directly with the young people under the guidance of a Group Leader for each session.  All our staff receive a comprehensive range of training and personal development opportunities in line with our Ofsted Registration.

We aim to offer the children and young people a range of new and exciting activities at Kidscamp in order to develop existing likes and interests, and to encourage them where possible, to choose activities they like or prefer. Activities include visits to zoo’s, barge trips, swimming, home based activities and many more.
