The Parents
Consortium was established in 1996 by parents who believed that services for
disabled children would only be truly responsive if they were directly
accountable to the parents, carers and young people themselves.
The children and young people who use our services are those with any form of
physical, learning or sensory impairment. We also cater for their parents and
encourage siblings to join in too. We provide appropriate activities for
children of all abilities, which may mean full-time one-to-one support for
some of the children. Above all, we provide lots of fun! Our funding comes
through grants, donations, charitable giving and a supporting
community/business sector working alongside Kent County Council Social Services.
